Project

Castle Combe

We completed a full Combed Wheat re-thatch in the popular Cotswold Village of Castle Combe.

On this project we carried out extensive timber repairs such as, removal of all rotten timber and replacing with new wall plate and replacement rafters before thatching commenced.

Dating back to 1709, the property was given a new lease of life and returned to its former glory.

Project

Avebury

In the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Avebury, we had the pleasure of carrying out another full Combed Wheat re-thatch on this beautiful 17th Century Cottage.

We are so lucky to have the opportunity to work on such historic buildings in such historic locations.

Project

The Hermit's Cell - Badminton Estate

We are used to working on historic buildings but this is one of the most memorable.

The Hermits Cell, originally named The Roof House, Badminton Park.

We carried out a re-ridge and general tidy up of this amazing 17th Century Folly in the heart of the Deer park for the Duke of Beaufort.

Project

Jasmine Cottage

One of our most recent completions. We turned this tired looking roof on Jasmine Cottage, which is a blend of old and modern construction, into a postcard worthy beauty.

Complete re-thatch with stunning Austrian Water Reed.

Also carrying our extensive wall plate and fascia upgrades giving us the best possible foundation to create a roof that not only will stand the test of time, but also looks beautiful as well.
